Did Taylor Swift put Travis Kelce 'on the map'? Popstar's latest lyrics from 'The Alchemy' suggest so

Taylor Swift has seemingly joked that she 'put' her boyfriend star Travis Kelce 'on the map' in her song 'The Alchemy,' as the NFL star continues to see a rise in popularity since he first started dating the popstar last summer. 

Travis - a three-time Super Bowl champion - saw his Kansas City jersey go through a 400 percent boost in sales after he and Taylor went official with their relationship at the start of the 2023 NFL season, when Taylor attended the Chiefs' win over the Jets in New York in September.

Now, fans have noticed that Swift dropped several references about her beau in her previously mentioned hit, which dropped on The Tortured Poets Department on April 19.

'This happens once every few lifetimes / These chemicals hit me like white wine,' Swift says in the song. 'What if I told you I'm back? / The hospital was a drag / Worst sleep I ever had.'

She continues: 'I circled you on a map / I haven't come around in so long / But I'm coming back so strong.'

Reacting to the lyrics on X, several Swifties shared: 'Honestly who are we fight to fight The Alchemy?' while a fan account of the artist tweeted: 'why does the alchemy really sound like travy made it to the big game.' Another fan wrote: 'the alchemy has been stuck in my head all day.'

In November, a couple on TikTok went viral after one of them was dressed as Taylor while the other was a map of the United States with Travis' face on it, backing the singer's claim that she's the drive behind his fame.

Travis, who hinted at another Swift song being about him in her new album, earlier this week, once addressed the running joke that he's only famous as the popstar's boyfriend in an episode of his 'New Heights' podcast from back in November.

'And then ''on the map.'' Putting, obviously my face on the map,' Travis told his older brother, Jason, during the episode. 'Shout-out to Taylor.' 

As their romance continues to go from strength to strength, Travis and Taylor have made sure to be supportive of each other's careers. He has been spotted at several of Swift's international destinations that were part of her Eras Tour, while she went to 13 of his NFL games. 

Travis' Chiefs games also seemed to inspire Swift in 'The Alchemy.'

'So when I touch down / Call the amateurs and cut' em from the team,' she sings in the song's chorus. 'Ditch the clowns, get the crown / Baby, I'm the one to beat / 'Cause the sign on your heart / Said it's still reserved for me.' 

She adds: 'These blokes warm the benches / We've been on a winning streak / He jokes that ''It's heroin, but this time with an E.''' 

Swift was in Las Vegas when Travis and his Chiefs teammates won their second straight Super Bowl in February, as she flew all the way from Tokyo, where she had been performing at the time. 

After the team's win, Swift and Travis celebrated on the field, kissing passionately in front of the cameras - another moment seemingly mentioned in 'The Alchemy.' 

'Shirts off and your friends lift up over their heads / Beer stickin' to the floor,' she sings. 'Cheers chanted 'cause they said / ''There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league'' / Where's the trophy? He just comes running' over to me.' 

Over the weekend, Travis saw his popularity reach new heights, as he shared behind-the-scenes footage of his inclusion for ZenWTR's upcoming commercial.

ESPN's Pat McAfee also provided his take on the Chiefs star's highly publicized romance with Swift, as he claimed that 'two greats in love, that's great for society.' 

Swift even sent several NFL WAGS gifts to celebrate the launch of The Tortured Poets Department, including notes, a vinyl record and even sweatpants.  

Fans of the Grammy Award winning artist are also suggesting that Swift aimed a dig at Formula One driver Fernando Alonso in her new album, as the singer was heavily linked with the Spaniard last year.
