A New York City woman was sexually assaulted by a stranger who threw a belt around her neck and dragged her unconscious body behind a parked car.
The revolting attack occurred on May 1 as the 45-year-old victim passed through the South Bronx.
The New York Police Department confirmed to DailyMail.com that the woman was walking near East 152nd Street and Third Avenue around 3 a.m. when an unknown man crept up behind her.
The man placed a belt around the victim's neck, causing her to go unconscious, before sexually assaulting her, the NYPD said.
Surveillance video reviewed by DailyMail.com shows the woman walking ahead of her attacker, who had tied a white cloth around the lower half of his face.

He loops a belt around her neck and yanks her to the ground, and while the woman struggles, she quickly goes limp.
The man drags her down the sidewalk and between two parked cars. He glances around before bending over the woman's body, which is obscured from sight.
No arrest has been made in the case, and an investigation by the NYPD Special Victims Unit is ongoing.
Just last month, a man laid in wait in a Manhattan apartment building before assaulting a 23-year-old woman as she returned home.
That man, who has yet to be identified, placed the victim in a chokehold before forcing her into a hallway. He allegedly threatened to shoot her if she screamed.
Also last month, a Bronx man forced his way inside a woman's home and struck her in the face several times before sexually assaulting her.
He was identified as 31-year-old Malik Crocker. Jail records show he has not been arrested.
Data from the NYPD shows that 511 rapes have been reported throughout the city as of May 5. The vast majority occurred in the Bronx.
However, rapes are down this year in the borough, with 141 reported through May 5, compared to 148 during the same period in 2023.
