Dramatic moment alleged drug dealer is arrested in his house in his underwear after cops uncover $500,000 in cash and guns

Dramatic footage captured the moment a man was arrested in his underwear following a city-wide raid as police cracked down on a crime syndicate.

Strike Force Murraguldrie detectives carried out six search warrants across Sydney with properties in Liverpool, Maroubra, Eastlakes and Rhodes raided on Wednesday.

Two men were charged for their alleged involvement in a crime syndicate that supplies firearms and drugs.

Some $500,000 in cash was seized along with a rifle, pistol, ammunition, flick knife, prohibited drugs and electronic devices.

Footage showed heavily-armed police visiting one of the houses and banging on the door demanding the owner open it.

An officer then smashed a battering ram into the door sending it wide open before the squad moved in.

Moments later a tattooed man wearing only his underwear was seen sitting on a fold-out chair with his hands handcuffed behind his back and cops surrounding him. 

A 21-year-old man was arrested after cops raided one of the properties at Liverpool.

Jake Joshua Buttigieg was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with 14 offences.

Twelve drug-supply related offences, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and fail to comply digital evidence access order direction were among the charges.

He was refused bail to front Liverpool Local Court on Thursday. 

Weapons were seized in the raids by detectives from Strike Force Murraguldrie and riot squad officers 

Prohibited drugs were also seized in a series of raids across Sydney 

Strike force detectives arrested a 36-year-old man at an Eastlakes property.

Oscar Santa Ana was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with 14 offences.

Seven of the charges relate to drug-supply offences and the others for firearm supply offences.

He was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court today

The seized items will undergo further forensic examination. 

Inquiries under Strike Force Murraguldrie continue, with further arrests expected.

The strike force was established by Raptor Squad in October 2023 to investigate the drug supply activities of a 36-year-old man and his associates in the greater Sydney area.
