Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter did not hold back his emotions during - and after - a 42-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Although the Eagles are 10-2 for the season, Carter did not take their second loss lightly and was filmed crying on the sideline out of frustration.

Following the game, Carter took to Instagram to send a message to anybody who criticized him for crying during the game.

'I'll rather cry for losing a game then cry that I'm still broke yall get yall life together,' Carter said on an Instagram story that was deleted soon after.

Although the post was taken down, it did not stop fans from reacting to Carter's response. Social media users referred to Carter as 'classless' and a 'loser' as the backlash ensued.

Carter had three tackles in the Eagles' second loss of the season as they move to a 10-2 record

'New flash Jalen,' one fan wrote on X. 'There are people out there that aren't professional football players that are multimillionaires as well.'

'Ya'll really gonna make him cry again leave him alone,' another joked

Before the game, Carter spoke about how the 49ers' offensive did not impose any threats.

'They got a lot of weapons on the outside but I'm in the trenches,' Carter said. 'I ain't heard nothing about the O-Line.'

Carter had a total of three tackles in the game as the 49ers' offense collected 465 yards for six touchdowns over four quarters.

49ers quarterback Brock Purdy completed 19 of 27 passes for 314 yards while Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel led in rushing (92) and receiving (116) yards, respectively.

Despite the loss, the Eagles remain on top of the NFC East and will look to regain momentum when they face the Dallas Cowboys on December 10.
