Two teenagers have died after a car crashed into a tree and burst into flames.
The sedan was travelling in Ellangowan, 16km south of Casino in NSW’s Northern Rivers region, when it left the road and hit the tree around 8.50pm Saturday.
Passers-by stopped to assist and emergency services were called to the site of the crash.

However, the driver and a passenger, both 18, could not be saved.
A spokesperson for NSW Police said: 'Passers-by stopped to assist; however, the 18-year-old man driving the sedan had died.
'They rendered first aid to an 18-year-old woman, who was the only passenger; however, she, too, died at the scene.'
Police have launched an investigation into the crash.
