England are opening their Euro 2024 base to families after each group game as Gareth Southgate looks to ease the pressure on his players.

The team’s Weimar base is set in a secluded location here in Germany, far away from any of the host cities which has created difficulties for loved ones to see the players apart from a short period after matches.

But Southgate is allowing wives, girlfriends and families to enter his team’s camp on the day after each Group C match in ploy to ensure his team are at ease.

Southgate has worked tirelessly during his reign to ensure his players are not left pining for family and home comforts during long tournaments.

For instance each player was given care packages - that included photos of loved ones - upon their arrival here in Germany.

The team flew straight back to Blankenhain after Sunday’s victory over Serbia in Gelsenkirchen and families were given access to the players thefollowing day.

England are taking the coach to and from Frankfurt for Thursday's game against Denmark and will return to Blankenhain directly after the game.

And loved ones will be allowed into the team hotel from Friday morning, with Southgate also planning to open the doors to England’s hotel after next Tuesday's game versus Slovenia in Cologne.
