Wharton makes the cut

Adam Whartion has only gone and done it... We think anyway.

According to reports, Wharton has done enough to make the final 26, which is a huge achievement for the 20-year-old.

Six months ago, before his move to Crystal Palace, nobody would have predicted the midfielder to be on his way to Germany.

But after a brilliant start to life in London and an impressive debut against Bosnia, he has made the grade.

The youngster looked so calm and composed on the ball at St James' Park that fans were in awe of his ability after just a few minutes.

He is going to have a part to play in Germany!

Are you happy with the 26?

Now that we seemingly know the squad, it's time to see what you think of it.

It's clear Gareth Southgate has predominantly picked the squad on form, which is something England fans have been asking for him to do for years.

Now that he has finally done what Three Lions fans have been screaming for, it will be interesting to see what reaction he gets.

I must admit, cutting three centre-backs has surprised me, while he has decided to keep all three strikers in the squad.

So, what are your thoughts on the potential squad?

Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire AXED by England for the Euros

As I said, there are some big names that have not made the cut.

The biggest two are perhaps Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire, with the latter struggling with a calf injury.

Grealish has struggled for form all season with Manchester City, and despite a bright cameo against Bosnia, he hasn't done enough.

Just three years ago, many people were calling Grealish England's star man at Euro 2021, despite his lack of game time.

Well, this year he will get NO game time....

SAMI MOKBEL: Jack Grealish will not make the Euro 2024 squad with Gareth Southgate set to confirm the seven players he has cut from his original squad.

The unlucky seven

It seems we already know the unlucky seven set to miss out on England's squad for Euro 2024.

Mail Sport's Sami Mokbel, among other journalists, has been revealing the players throughout the day.

Here is who is set to miss out:

  • James Trafford
  • Jarrad Branthwaite
  • Jarrell Quansah
  • Harry Maguire
  • Curtis Jones
  • James Maddison
  • Jack Grealish

There are some big guns in there...

33 becomes 26...

Well then, the time has come already.

Gareth Southgate only needed to see one friendly before deciding which seven players should be cut from his Euro 2024 provisional squad.

Over the last few hours, we have slowly found out which players look set to miss out on the tournament in Germany.

And we believe that the squad will be made official at 5.30pm before southgate speaks to the press about his decisions at 6pm.

We will keep you up to date with all the news surrounding the squad, and bring you all the best quotes from Southgate's presser.

Right then, let's get this show on the road.
