Erik ten Hag believes his Manchester United team have been inconsistent due to a series of enforced changes to his side as a result of injuries and suspensions.

Man United were thrashed 3-0 at home by Bournemouth on Saturday, just days after earning a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford in midweek.

Ten Hag, speaking ahead of the Red Devils Champions League tie with Bayern Munich, claimed his side have been impacted by not being able to field a consistent team.

'We had a regular team, not so many changes, especially in our backline,' Ten Hag said.

'We had a long time a regular formation and that helps you.

'You get the routines in and we have to wait with that, until that moment we deal with it.

'Every team has to deal with it, it is not only us, when we get back to a regular place we will win games and get better.'
