The royal seal of approval

Prince William's football fandom is of no secret to anyone, he is often seen at Wembley when the national teams are playing.

So it was only fitting that the Prince of Wales was in attendance as England booked their place in semi-finals.

He was even on hand in the tunnel to congratulate the players as they came off the pitch.

What about the Netherlands?

England will face the Netherlands following their victory over Turkey.

The Dutch also had to somewhat do it the hard way as they fell behind in the first half but goals from Stefan di Vrij and a Mert Muldur own goal gave the Oranje their place in the semi-finals.

Bukayo Saka's redemption

How could we start anywhere else but with Bukayo Saka?

The Arsenal winger exorcised the demons of Euros past as he dragged England level in regular time before rolling home his penalty in the shootout.

Questions had been raised about his place in the team following the emergence of Cole Palmer throughout the Premier League season. But he answered the critics yesterday as the Three Lions' most effective attacker.

Piers Morgan believes Bukayo Saka 'demolished his demons' after scoring in England's penalty shootout win over Switzerland in their Euro 2024 quarter-final.
