The sex-trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon has been paused at the request of the Justice Department.
Bloomberg Law reports that former WWE employee Janel Grant has agreed to halt her proceedings against McMahon while the Government conducts its own investigation.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, Grant's attorney Ann Callis said: 'Ms. Grant has consented to a request by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York to stay her case against Mr. McMahon, WWE and Mr. Laurinaitis, pursuant to a pending non-public investigation. We will cooperate with all appropriate next steps.'
Grant has accused McMahon and other WWE executives of sex trafficking as well as emotional and physical abuse during her time with the wrestling promotion.
Since then, McMahon has resigned from the WWE and sold more than $400 million worth of stock in TKO, the newly formed company that was created by the WWE-UFC merger.
