Fans have taken to social media to mock Jadon Sancho for putting on a German accent during a recent interview.
Sancho re-joined Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season in January, following his public falling out with United boss Erik ten Hag.
Sancho - who scored 50 goals in 137 appearances for Dortmund between 2017 and 2021 - appeared in a social video for the club earlier this week.
During the social media clip - shared on TikTok, Twitter and Instagram - Sancho was asked: 'who has been your toughest opponent in football?'.
Sancho clarified the question before naming Manchester City defender and England international Kyle Walker has his toughest opponent.

However, it wasn't his answer that attracted the interest of the fans. It was the accent he put on while delivering Walker's name.
Sancho - who has featured 11 times in the Bundesliga, scoring once and registering an assist - put on a German accent.
Fans were quick to react to the 24-year-old's accent - taking the comments section to discuss his new dialect.
One fan wrote: 'What's with the accent??', while another added: 'Why is bro talking like that - he needs to stop it right now!'.
One football fan tried to connect the winger's German accent with his disciplinary issues at Manchester United.
They wrote: 'Man thinks he is a German with a dodgy accent. what a joke. Ten Hag should keep him out. spoilt child in the locker room'.
While one fan said: 'I used to laugh at Sancho but the accent ting actually happens without realising it's actually mad I do the same at work'.
Another fan agreed by saying: 'We all do that thing with the accent let's not cap. He's just ensuring he is understood lol.'
A third fan added: 'I don't think people understand when you speak to foreigners abroad in your normal style/accent they struggle to understand so you speak differently for them to understand.'
While one social media user finished by saying: 'It's not that deep it just makes it easier for people to understand him. Most bilingual people get it'.
Dortmund are reportedly willing to re-sign Jadon Sancho on a permanent deal, but only if United accept less than half of the £73million they forked out for him in 2021.
More talks are expected in the coming weeks, with Sancho 'happy' and 'feeling the trust' from the Bundesliga side.
However, changes within the United set-up could affect whether the England international stays at Old Trafford or leaves.
Ten Hag's future at the club is not certain, while it's unclear how new owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS plan to deal with him.
