Fans have again ripped Major League Baseball and their jersey provider, Fanatics, after Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon heavily sweated through his uniform against the Astros on Friday night.

MLB has been under constant criticism about several details about their new jerseys since Spring Training, with the league's representatives saying problems would be fixed by Opening Day.

Instead of using Majestic to manufacture jerseys, Nike which engineered and designed the threads, turned to Fanatics for this season.

Major League Baseball Players Association executive director Tony Clark said last month that concerns from players about the new league jerseys from Nike and Fanatics were being heard and 'work is being done to mitigate' the situation.

Entering the first weekend of the regular season, what progress the league has made on the jerseys is unclear, as another glaring example of the drop in quality occurred.

Rodon's sweat can be clearly seen through several sections of his jersey against Houston

Rodon's sweat turned his grey jersey even darker as he pitched at Minute Maid Park

Watching Carlos Rodon sweat through his crappy Fanatics jersey is embarrassing. How did MLB let this happen?

They had 6 weeks to fix it after spring training started. Pathetic.

As some of you have noted, the #Yankees' gray Fanatics jerseys aren't very absorbent when it comes to sweat. Carlos Rodón (among others over the last 2 days) looks like he was sprayed with a fire hose despite pitching in a climate controlled stadium.

Here is a collection of social-media messages regarding Rodon sweating through his jersey

'Watching Carlos Rodon sweat through his crappy Fanatics jersey is embarrassing,' one person stated on X. 'How did MLB let this happen? They had 6 weeks to fix it after spring training started. Pathetic.'

'As some of you have noted, the #Yankees' gray Fanatics jerseys aren't very absorbent when it comes to sweat,' a reporter for the Yankees said on X. 'Carlos Rodón (among others over the last 2 days) looks like he was sprayed with a fire hose despite pitching in a climate controlled stadium.'

'Wonderful job on the uniforms this year, @Fanatics,' one baseball fan posted. 'This look incredible on the field.'

Another fan posted a picture of Sean Miller, when he was Arizona's men's basketball coach sweating completely through his dress shirt to represent Rodon.

Rodon only pitched for 4.1 innings against the Astros before being pulled from the game.
