Richmond have parted ways with a popular cult figure to leave the AFLW community in shock.
The Tigers announced on Wednesday that they will not be offering midfielder Jess Hosking or forward Stephanie Williams new contracts for the 2024 season.
The decision to axe Hosking has raised eyebrows. The 27-year-old has been sidelined for most of this year with an ankle injury, but was a regular for Richmond in her three seasons at the club.
She made headlines last year after a sinister message was written on her shoulder straps during the Tigers' semi-final clash with North Melbourne.
'Kill b****es', the comment read.

Jess Hosking has barely featured for the Tigers this year due to injury
She copped a 'please explain' from the AFLW but escaped punishment for the 'offensive language' after issuing an apology.
Hosking's twin sister Sarah also plays for Richmond, and she has been kept on for the forthcoming season.
'Not sure I agree with this decision,' one fan wrote on Twitter.
'Both had injury interrupted seasons, a bit stiff,' another said.
A third fan added: 'Beg your pardon!?'
'When not injured Jess Hosking was so important,' a fourth fan pointed out. 'Shocked by this news.'
