Footy legend Billy Brownless has let slip that his good mate James Brayshaw's upcoming wedding will take place on Friday, with a host of big names from footy and the entertainment world expected to attend.

The popular Channel 7 sports commentator and radio host will marry his partner of six years, Lisa Christie, in Perth in front of a star-studded guest list.

Brownless, who works as Brayshaw's Triple M Rush Hour co-host, revealed that the wedding would start on Friday and will continue into Saturday when guests will journey to Rottnest Island off the Western Australian coast.

'Jim's going around again so second time up, he's marrying the lovely Lisa who's planned it all,' Brownless said.

'Got the wedding on the Friday and then on the Saturday going to Rottnest Island.'

The Herald Sun reported that footy and media identities attending the event include Garry Lyon and partner Nicky Brownless, Craig Hutchison and his partner Clare, Brian Taylor, Luke Darcy, Campbell Brown, Nathan Brown, Damian Barrett, Danielle Frawley, Angus Brayshaw and former cricket star Greg Blewett.

However, Collingwood chief executive Craig Kelly is reportedly unable to make it.

Brayshaw popped the question to Lisa during a romantic vacation in Italy last November.

Brownless indicated that Brayshaw's wedding will start on Friday and continue into Saturday

The 55-year-old former cricketer and his partner toured Salò at Lake Garda as well as Verona during the trip.

James shared several images to social media from the whirlwind trip alongside a delighted Lisa, who he began dating in 2017.

'Italy... best country in the world in my opinion,' he wrote alongside one touristy image of the couple.

'Daylight second... yesterday in Salo, Lake Garda... next level extraordinary!' he added.

That comment was posted alongside an image of the beaming couple enjoying glasses of red wine.

Brayshaw, who has four sons from his previous marriage, knocked back Brownless when he offered to be the master of ceremonies at the wedding

'Verona... beautiful place full of astoundingly well dressed people... like you are walking around in a fashion shoot!' he captioned a second photo.

Not a lot is known about the details of the wedding - but one thing for sure is that Brownless won't be doing MC duties.

'Can you believe it, I said I'd MC or be in his bridal party and I got knocked back,' Brownless said in August.

'I would have done it for $1000. I would have even done it for free for old Jim.'

Brayshaw has four sons - Henry, George, Johnathon and Frederick - with ex-wife Sarah. The couple were married for 23 years before their split.

Lisa, an interior designer, has two children from a previous relationship, and was once engaged to TV star Jamie Durie.
