Broncos great Wendell Sailor has announced that he is going to walk away from his Triple M NRL broadcast role, explaining that he wants to spend more time with his kids.
The former dual-international NRL and Wallabies star has enjoyed his time calling footy games for Triple M, but is turning 50 this year and now has other priorities in life.
'I'm not calling any more football after this year,' he told News Corp.
'I'm having a break from commentating.

The footy legend is turning 50 this year and has decided to change up a few things in his life
'I have been calling the footy for a long time. I will do the Rush Hour show and then I will get back and do grassroots stuff.
'I'm going to go and support my kids.'
The footy legend explained that a heart-to-heart conversation with his former coach Wayne Bennett helped him make his decision.
'I spoke to Wayne and he has been really good for me,' he said.
'He said, "Del, when you were at your best, what were you doing?" I said just being around people, doing the corporate stuff with you.
'I'm going to get back to doing corporate stuff, playing golf and supporting Tristan and my daughter.
'I am 50 next year and my son and daughter need me around, so next year I will have a break from calling footy.'

Last month, Sailor revealed the torment behind his son Tristan's rape trial - before slamming the St George Illawarra Dragons for what he called their 'disgusting' treatment of the fullback.
In 2020, the NRL young gun was charged by NSW Police after a woman alleged she was so drunk she woke up naked with no memory as to what happened following a night out in Sydney.
The footy star was accused of having sex with the woman while she was either unconscious or too intoxicated to consent.
The alleged incident came just two weeks after Sailor was released by the Dragons, and his father - who also played for the club in the twilight of his career - felt they unfairly ushered his boy out the door.
Sailor (pictured with Tristan outside court in 2020) lashed out at his son's treatment by his former club, the Dragons, during his legal drama
'Only his closest family understands what he went through a few years ago,' Sailor said.
'I have shed tears at times at the journey he has gone through.
'I said, 'Mate, don't give up yet'. He was disillusioned here in Australia, but I knew he had unfinished business with the NRL.
Two years later Sailor was acquitted of all charges, and his famous father has been impressed with how quickly he's moved on with his life.
He signed with Broncos feeder club South Logan, and after he was standout in the Queensland Cup, Kevin Walters offered him a train and trial contract.
Now he is reportedly in the sights of other NRL clubs following some brilliant footy with the Broncos.
