Wests Tigers prop Dave Klemmer has sensationally been accused of cheating to ensure his team beat Parramatta in an Easter Monday NRL thriller.

The allegation comes as the veteran front-rower was also busted making an obscene gesture at Eels star Clint Gutherson, who missed a penalty attempt after the fulltime siren which would have won the game.

Klemmer, 30, was the closest Tigers player to the fullback when he set up for the shot at goal, standing in between the Parramatta captain and the goalposts.

Just before Gutherson kicked the ball, Klemmer could be seen jumping up in the air in a clear attempt to put off his rival.

NRL rules state that an opposition player can't distract a kicker before a shot at goal, with many footy fans adamant Klemmer should have been penalised - and Gutherson given another opportunity to be the matchwinner.

This footy fan correctly pointed out Klemmer broke NRL rules by jumping as Gutherson attempted to win the game with a penalty kick after fulltime

Another supporter correctly stated Gutherson should have been given another chance to be the match-winner after Klemmer's unsportsmanlike behaviour

A third supporter felt the Tigers enforcer had crossed a line by 'sticking it up' Clint Gutherson

Seconds after 'King Gutho' missed his moment, an animated Klemmer made an obscene 'f**k you' gesture by slapping the crook of his as he raised his left fist while the Tigers won a thriller, 17-16 at CommBank Stadium.

'Happy the Tigers won, but why would Klemmer jump like that and give the ref a chance to give Gutherson a second chance to kick it?,' one fan asked.

A second posted on X: 'I'm going to be 'that' guy. Klemmer jumps up in the air when Gutho kicks. Isn't that against the rules, and should be another chance at the penalty kick?

A third supporter felt the Tigers enforcer had crossed a line: 'Klemmer sticking it up Gutho… just stop.'

Under new coach Benji Marshall, the Tigers are roaring, sitting in the NRL top eight after four rounds following back to back wins over the Sharks and Eels.

On Saturday, Marshall will try and topple 'Supercoach' Wayne Bennett - as well as his own brother - Dolphins hooker Jeremy Marshall-King - at Suncorp Stadium.

Parramatta face a tough assignment on the road this Sunday when they travel to Canberra to play the Raiders at GIO Stadium.
