Former Carlton player Lachie Plowman has married his model girlfriend Kenyah Hura in a secret wedding in Victoria.

Plowman, who retired in 2023 after playing 145 games with the Blues, tied the knot with Hura last Thursday on a rooftop garden at a restaurant in Melbourne - with the glamour couple only sharing photos of the event a few days later.

'We had a very small secret wedding and then had an engagement party on Friday to celebrate with family and friends,' Hura told News Corp.

Hura made headlines last year when she was targeted by trolls for wearing a revealing dress at Carlton's best and fairest night.

The daring black outfit had a plunging V-neckline that extended just above her navel, baring Hura's cleavage.

But the daring choice of outfit sparked a range of opinions, with some applauding her and others criticising.

One social media user complained: 'Females want equality, I agree, but the deliberate focus on sexually provocative outfits, also in sport, is a set back.'

'Yes, because my tits are gonna take us back to the 1800s,' Kenyah snapped back in the comments.

The Melbourne-born model later spoke to the Herald about the incident and the degrading comments she received.

'Contrary to negative comments I am happy with who I am and haven't had any work done to my face/body and no fake tan was harmed in the process — I am a Maori and Aboriginal woman and am blessed with beautiful brown skin that I am very proud of,' she said.

'It's disheartening to see that I'm being called a 'bad example' for younger women when the way I see it, the people judging me are doing more harm for our community and teaching the wrong thing to younger generations.'

'I have a younger sister and aspire to be the best possible role model; not everyone's going to like you and that's okay, if you like yourself and you're happy that's truly all that matters.

'I have a supportive and loving partner, beautiful family and friends and I know who I am so honestly, I'm not affected by what others have to say but I know this is not true for everyone.

Hura (pictured with Plowman at Carlton's awards last year) said she aspires to be a role model to her younger sister, but 'not everyone's going to like you and that's okay'

'I've seen throughout the years being around the AFL system how cruel and harsh people can be and there's no need for it, strive to do better.'

Kenyah is no stranger to flashing skin, and her social media posts depict the professional model working her impressive angles.

She was voted one of the 10 Emerging Models You Should Follow On Instagram on the website Life Without Andy in 2017.

During a locker room interview in September 2023, Kenyah admitted she wasn't much of a football fan before dating Lachie.

'I'm a Lachie Plowman supporter. First time I've supported a team,' she quipped.
