Former Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is reportedly amongst a group of stars that have purchased five per cent of Wrexham.
Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have purchased a stake in Mexican side Club Necaxa.
Ozil is amongst the stars that have previously invested in Necaxa, with NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., model Kate Upton, actress Eva Longoria and MLB pitcher Justin Verlander also doing so.
According to Sportico, as part of Reynolds and McElhenney's investment, the stars who have invested in Necaxa have also now purchased five per cent of Wrexham.
A recent filing from Wrexham showed that the club sold a five per cent stake, but didn't specify to whom.

According to Variety, Reynolds and McElhenney have invested in Necaxa as they look to grow the club internationally at a time of high demand for sports streaming content.
The Welcome To Wrexham documentary has been extremely popular and has helped to increase the club's prominence even further.
Reynolds and McElhenney purchased Wrexham in 2020, with the club subsequently earning promotions from the National League and League Two.
Necaxa are currently in ninth place in Liga MX. They were beaten 5-2 at home by Monterrey in their most recent game.
NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. has also reportedly invested in Wrexham as part of the deal
