Former NBA star Ben McLemore arrested for alleged first-degree rape and other sex crimes with ex-Laker scheduled to appear in court today

Former NBA player Ben McLemore has been arrested for alleged first-degree rape and other sex crimes.

McLemore was arrested on Tuesday on an outstanding warrant out of Clackamas County, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office in Oregon told KGW News, and then brought to Clackamas County Jail.

McLemore faces charges of first-degree rape, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and second-degree sexual abuse, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office website says.


Mail Sport has reached out to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, but has not received a response at this time.

McLemore is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

McLemore, seen at a 2022 Summer League game, faces a charge of first-degree rape

The 31-year-old, who was the seventh overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, played for the Kings, Grizzlies, Rockets, Lakers and Blazers.

His last NBA game came in 2022 for Portland.

He now plays for Spanish team Rio Breogan in the Liga ACB, and played as recently as last week.
