Fulham have expressed interest in Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos who could leave this summer.

The 31-year old cost £26million when he joined Villa from Sevilla but his start was derailed by a ruptured Achilles tendon injury. He made 38 appearances last season but is open to a move away for more regular starting opportunities.

He also has interest from abroad.

Fulham are looking to strengthen their squad for Marco Silva ahead of the season and have already moved to sign Villarreal left-sided defender Jorge Cuenca who is in Portugal to undergo a medical ahead of finalising his switch.

They have agreed to bring in Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal, have added free agent Ryan Sessegnon and remain in negotiations with Manchester United over a fee for Scott McTominay.

Fulham have been making a number of moves in the transfer window, including making a series of bids for Scott McTominay

Andreas Pereira could yet be heading in the other direction after interest from Marseille

Meanwhile, Marseille have asked about Fulham attacking midfielder Andreas Pereira.

The French side have signed Mason Greenwood and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg this summer and are short of Arsenal's desired £30million asking price for Eddie Nketiah but that hasn't stopped them trying for Andreas too.
