Gary Lineker has issued a damning verdict on UEFA's decision to investigate Jude Bellingham for his X-rated celebration following England's win over Slovakia.
The Three Lions kept their Euro 2024 dream alive as Bellingham's late stoppage time equaliser in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday preceded Harry Kane's winning header in extra time.
A brief interaction after the match showed Bellingham performing a crude celebration that involved him first putting his hand to his mouth before moving it towards his groin and making a series of movements.
It was originally suggested that Bellingham had aimed his celebration at the Slovakia dugout before the Real Madrid star dispelled such claims and insisted it was a 'joke' with close friends.
UEFA are now investigating the incident and could decide to ban Bellingham from featuring in England's quarter-final clash against Switzerland on Saturday.
