New York Giants rookie Deonte Banks had a pointed post-game message for the Washington Commanders after the Baltimore native improved to 2-0 against the Landover, Maryland-based team.

Banks, who played collegiately at nearby Maryland, was available when Washington picked at No. 16 in the first round of last April's NFL Draft, but the Commanders opted instead for another cornerback, Emmanuel Forbes.

'They could've came and got me at [pick] 16, and they didn't,' the 22-year-old Banks said of the Commanders on Instagram following the Giants' 31-19 on Sunday.

'Now I'm 2-0 against you bum-a** boys,' he continued. 'F*** the Commanders. They think they slick. They gonna see me two times a year until the end of my career. Two times a year.

'Shoulda came and got me.'

Banks also took a moment to call out Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin afterwards.

'I'm just trying to figure out, though: Did 17 play today?' Banks asked. 'That's all I want to know. Did he play? I just want to know if he played.'

McLaurin did play, and finished with a respectable five catches for 43 yards on seven targets.

Banks was credited for three tackles, although he did surrender a touchdown to his former college rival, Penn State product Jahan Dotson.

As for a comparison between Banks and Forbes, the two have been neck and neck all season.

Forbes has 10 passes defended an interception over his first 10 games, while Banks has nine passes defended and a pick of his own.
