A 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a nudist camp while visiting her grandparents, according to her family.

Steven H. Wicklund, 69, was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct last week in Anoka County, north of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Police say the Wisconsin resident assaulted the girl in July while they were naked and alone in a clubhouse at The Oakwood Club, which bills itself as a non-sexual, family friendly nudist community.

The girl's parents were alerted to the situation in August after her mom found texts from Wicklund soliciting explicit photos of her and her friends, according the criminal complaint seen by the Star Tribune.

Police say they reviewed the teen's phone and found messages that were sexual in nature sent by Wicklund.

The club says on its website it conducts a background check on individuals before allowing them to visit.

The texts reportedly included messages such as 'Hey Sexy' and 'Have you been masturbating or having sex with your girlfriends?'

The mother told police the girl, who has not been named, then admitted she touched Wicklund sexually while digitally penetrated and groped her.

The girl was told Wicklund was a 'family friend,' per the criminal complaint.

Wicklund allegedly told the girl 'it was fine and normal' that they were sexually touching each other.

The girl said that when she told Wicklund to stop, he grabbed her hand and put it on his genitals.

Wicklund was charged by summons and is expected to appear in court on January 12.

If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.

The club was one of the first established in the US, back in 1942

The Oakwood allows visitors of all ages and promotes 'Naturism,' which they describe as 'non-sexual nudity while doing everyday activities without clothes – in harmony with nature.'

The club was one of the first established in the US, back in 1942.

According to its website, it conducts a background check on individuals before allowing them to visit.

Wicklund does not have a criminal record.
