Golden State Warriors shooting guard/small forward Gary Payton II has suffered a torn right calf according to The Athletics' Shams Charania.

The injury will put Payton on the sidelines for an indefinite amount of time.

Payton exited Tuesday's 124-123 loss against the Sacramento Kings with hurt after playing 16 minutes and 32 seconds.

He appeared to suffer the non-contact injury after attempting to get over a screen with just under a minute remaining in the third quarter of the game.

Payton had immediately pulled up and appeared to grab at the top of his calf before instantly hobbling to the locker room for further examination.

He quickly hobbled off to the locker room after sustaining the injury and did not return

He has been averaging 5.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game this season as a valued member of the Warriors second unit.

Payton was not the member of the Warriors to fall victim to the injury bug, as veteran point guard Chris Paul exited the game with a leg injury in the first quarter and did not return.

Later during the game Paul was seen limping to tell teammates Stephan Curry and Draymond Green something near the front of the tunnel to the locker room.

There has not yet been any update on Paul's injury.
