Grayson Murray was seen saying he is not ashamed of his anxiety and depression in a resurfaced video from 2023.

On Saturday afternoon, the golf world was shocked by Murray's passing at age 30. His death came about 24 hours after he withdrew towards the end of his second round at the Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas.

As tributes continue to flood social media, a video of Murray addressing mental health after winning the AdventHealth Championship on May 21, 2023, was posted by the Korn Ferry Tour's social media.

'My parents have been through hell and back, basically for the last six years, with me - fighting some mental stuff,' he says in the interview. 'It's not easy on me and the people around me who love me. They don't like to see me down.

'Everyone has their battles,' Murray added. 'Sometimes people are able to hide them and function, and sometimes you're not.'

Furthermore, Murray expressed his gratitude towards today's society for taking the negative stigma out of addressing mental struggles.

'I think our society is now getting better about accepting that, you know, it's okay not to be okay type deal. And I've embraced that type of mentality.'

'And I'm not ashamed that I go through depression [and] anxiety,' he claimed. 'I know I've helped people out in the past, just through my social media DMs. People message me, and I think that's part of [how] I can use my platform to continue to help with things like that.'

Before the video, another meaningful piece that remembered Murray's life resurfaced when a picture of him and Jordan Spieth from 2010 circulated on X.

On Saturday afternoon, the PGA Tour announced that 30-year-old Murray passed away

The North Carolina native won his second PGA title at the Sony Open in Hawaii earlier this year

Murray was a two-time winner on the PGA Tour after winning the Barbasol Championship in 2017 and the Sony Open in Hawaii in January.

On the other hand, Spieth collected 13 wins in the PGA Tour, which included the 2015 Masters Tournament and US Open.

Upon withdrawing on Friday, Murray informed his playing partners that he was feeling unwell. However, his cause of death is yet to be issued.
