Convicted murderer Greg Lynn has been attacked in jail, less then a week after he was found guilty over the murder of Carol Clay.
Human faeces was thrown at Lynn by a fellow inmate inside the Melbourne Assessment Prison last week, reports 7 News.
The inmate is understood to have been asked by another prisoner to attack Lynn.

Lynn is currently being housed in a protection unit in the prison where he is allowed to mix with other inmates.
Lynn is reportedly unhappy in jail a week after he was put behind bars and has already complained that living conditions are not up to scratch.
One of the inmates at the prison is Lachlan Young, who allegedly killed 23-year-old Ballarat woman Hannah McGuire.
A Department of Justice and Community Safety Spokesperson said in a statement the department does not comment on individual cases of prisoners.
'Corrections Victoria takes all incidents very seriously and refers all allegations of criminal activity and serious incidents to Victoria Police for investigation,' they said.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Corrections Victoria for further comment.

Last Tuesday, a jury of 12 in the Supreme Court of Victoria unanimously found Lynn murdered Ms Clay in cold blood before attempting to cover his tracks by burning and destroying the evidence.
The couple, who were having having an affair, suddenly went missing in the Wonnangatta Valley, in Victoria's Alpine region, on March 20, 2020.
Lynn was arrested a year later and he told police his version of events before he led officers to where the bodies were located.
The former Jetstar pilot had pleaded not guilty to the murders of both campers.
'I am innocent of murder,' he said. 'I am innocent (of manslaughter too). I haven't killed anyone.'
A jury of 12 in the Supreme Court of Victoria unanimously found Lynn murdered Carol Clay, 73 (pictured) in cold blood before attempting to cover his tracks by burning and destroying the evidence
Lynn claimed the deaths of Ms Clay, 73 and Mr Hill, 74 were accidental, but he did admit to burning the crime scene and destroying their remains.
The jury heard Lynn had offered to plead guilty to the destruction of evidence before going on trial, but it had been rejected by the prosecution.
Lynn told the court the couple died after Mr Hill stole his shotgun and the pair engaged in a deadly struggle for control.
The jury heard Lynn had been sitting near his campfire by the river when he saw Mr Hill take his shotgun and load the magazine.
Lynn claimed Mr Hill accidentally shot Ms Clay through the head as he attempted to wrestle the shotgun away from him.
He will be sentenced a later date and faces a maximum penalty of life behind bars.
More to come.
