This is the terrifying moment two drugged-up thugs shot at police during a 14-hour siege after taking a delivery driver hostage because their kebab was cold.

Paul Burton, 45, and Nathan Turner, 37, were jailed after firing sniper-style air rifle at a police car and dumping police over the vehicles from an eighth floor flat in Bedford, near Milton Keynes.

The pair - who had been drinking and taking drugs - demanded the courier give them their money back and trapped him in a lift, only releasing him an hour later when the shop's owner came to collect him.

In video live-streamed on Facebook Burton accused the driver of being late and forgetting the salad, The Sun reports.

And - shortly before 6am - they confronted a neighbour with the weapon after she knocked and kicked  their door to complain about the blaring music.

Saying she was at her 'wit's end' - the music was breifly turned down before it was turned back up and she saw the rifle being pointed at her front doo.

Believing it to be a real gun - and saying it looked like an AK47 - the woman called the police after the lairy pair pointed it at her door.

Shocking footage shows heavily-armed officers outside their door - as one of the thugs says: 'We're not coming out slowly.

'If you come in one of you gets killed.'

In the coming morning, Burton fired the air-rifle at a police car - piercing the windscreen and narrowly avoiding a dog handler who feared for his life.

Turner continued to throw paint and plants from the flat - damaging cars as he flung them from the balcony.

He finally surrendered to police at around 12.30pm - with Burton following shortly before 6pm.
