Gunther finally loses! Sami Zayn wins the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania 40 to end longest reign in the championship's history at 667 days

Gunther's dominant run as Intercontinental champion finally came to an end at WrestleMania 40 after a heroic performance from Sami Zayn.

After taking a brutal beating for close to 20 minutes, Zayn found the strength to rally a comeback from the brink of defeat.

 Zayn hit three Helluva kicks and a brainbuster from the top rope that followed the first one. That proved enough to put to bed Gunther's record-setting 667-day Intercontinental title reign.
