Harry Kane's return to play against Tottenham this summer will be televised live on TNT Sports with the Bayern Munich striker set to return to north London for a pre-season friendly.

The game is set to take place at 17:30 on Saturday, August 10, two days shy of a year since he left the club to join the Bundesliga outfit, with Eric Dier also set to play a part in the match.

The pre-season clash will form part of the Visit Malta Cup, which will see Tottenham and the German giants play for the 12th time in history.

It will be Ange Postecoglou's side's final pre-season friendly before they begin their Premier League campaign on Monday, August 19, as they travel to the King Power Stadium to take on newly promoted side Leicester City.

TNT Sports Coverage of the Premier League season will also begin on Saturday, 17 August, where Ipswich Town take on Liverpool at Portman Road.

Kane had joined Bayern for £100million on August 12, 2023, ending a 20-year-long stay at the club, where the England captain rose to become the north London club's all-time leading goal scorer.

His team-mate, Dier, would follow him to Germany in January on loan, with rumours circulating he could make his temporary deal permanent this summer.

A statement on Tottenham's website read: 'This mouth-watering curtain-raiser to the new season takes on extra significance, with the club's all-time leading goalscorer, Harry Kane and long-serving defender Eric Dier having recently joined the Bundesliga champions.

'This will be the 12th meeting with Bayern in our history and only the fourth to have taken place on home soil.

'We memorably overcame the German giants on our way to UEFA Cup success 40 years ago.'

Kane has returned an impressive 44 goals in 45 games since joining Bayern last year and will return to north London with his club side following England's Euro 2024 campaign in Germany.

He is currently leading England out at Euro 2024, with the Bayern striker having scored once during the group stages, during England's 1-1 draw against Denmark.
