Fresh off the back of Travis Kelce's hilarious tweets resurfacing this past week, footage of him getting a Chiefs staffer to call his mom Donna about a food order has also reemerged.

A fresh-faced Kelce was mic'd up for a game that appears to be during the early stages of his NFL career.

As he stands on the sideline in between plays, he can be heard asking a member of the Chiefs coaching staff if he can ring his mom to tweak his postgame food order.

Even though the staffer is unsure whether he's permitted to do as Kelce asks, the pair have a hilarious exchange over the pronunciation of 'gnocchi'.

Footage captures a fresh-faced Kelce asking: 'Hey. Can you call my mother from that phone right there?'

Mid-game, Kelce asks the staffer to tell Donna to make sure he gets the 'gnocchi noodles'

Kelce needed Donna to know he didn't want the 'mac and cheese with the regular noodles'

To which the Chiefs staffer replies: 'I don't know if I can use it on the sideline.'

Kelce continues: 'Tell her that I don't want the macaroni and cheese with the regular noodles. I want the gnocchi. How do you say it?

Confused, the staffer asks: 'Gnocchi?'

With the pronunciation nailed down - in Kelce's mind - he presses on: 'Yeah not the regular noodles. The gnocchi noodles. Thanks.'

The staffer, seemingly happy to accommodate the tight end's request, finishes the bizarre conversation by telling him: 'I'll get right on that.'

Kelce has desperately tried to laugh off his embarrassment after several old tweets from 2011 went viral on social media.

In his early twenties, Kelce often tweeted about his favorite snacks, how much he enjoys a nap and, best of all, feeding a 'squirle' some bread.

And it gave his older brother Jason some great material for the latest episode of their New Heights podcast as the pair reflected on another wild week.

'Maybe the biggest news of the past week is the Travis Kelce tweets circa 2009-2011. It has been all over the news,' Jason said. 'When you go back and read them, what does Travis Kelce think?'

Travis's brother Jason (left) discussed the tight end's historic tweets that resurfaced last week

He spoke most about his now infamous tweet where he was amazed by a squirrel eating bread

The man himself replied: 'I'm just using Twitter as like a diary. There's no... I'm just out here saying nonsense. "I just gave a squirrel a piece of bread" and spelt "squirrel" like a jacka**'.

Jason responded through his laughter: 'First of all, that's the new spelling for squirrel. I don't know why they spelt it the other way.

'I think the only reason this one gets crushed is because of the spelling. But I'd be pretty... if I'm throwing bread around and a squirrel is eating it, I'd be pretty pumped up.'

Travis added: 'I'd made a friend, man. I'd made a friend. 'Nap time' (another old tweet) was a classic. All I need is a good 15.

'I mean, that's why I don't tweet anymore. It's just nonsense.'

Back then, Travis would have been at college in Cincinnati, where both he and Jason played football before moving on to the NFL.

He also posted about how funny he thinks Jason is, as well as the food he would 'straight smash' like that squirrel with a piece of bread.

On Dec. 11, 2009 Travis wrote: 'haha man my brother has gotta be one of the funniest guys on this planet, hes grade "A" comedy at all times of the day.'

Another, in 2010, said: 'I HOP!!!!!! I love commin here for breakfast! Ummm I think ill have the T-bone steak n Eggs please! Haha with some white toast on the side!'
