Harrowing footage shows the moment a New York man died after being flung from the hood of his car while it was being stolen by thieves.
Mauro Chimbay, 43, holding on for dear life on top of his BMW in Queens as the crooks sped off.
Video shows Chimbay slowly losing grip and falling in the middle of the road as the car raced down the road.
The owner suffered severe head trauma and images show blood spilled on the spot he fell.

Officials say the initial break-in attempt happened just after 3pm at 85th Street and 25th Avenue.
The victim was playing volleyball in a park nearby when he saw one of the thieves exit a white BMW and break into his white Toyota Highlander.
The robber then used a tool similar to a hammer to bash into the window of the SUV and opened a door lock, which set off the car alarm.
Footage shows multiple people run towards the car while the thief opened the car door, stoke a shopping bag full of items and rushed back into his own car.
