I found a secret room in my house after pulling up the carpet... it's really creepy

A woman was left shocked after discovering a second hidden room in her home after pulling up the carpet.

Midwife Aurora was in the middle of renovating her home when she and her partner discovered the 'secret' room tucked away.

She claims they had no clue this part of the home even existed - despite having lived in the property for four years. 

Hidden behind two bookcases, the mother noticed there was something peculiar about where the wall meet the floor. 

Now the room acts as their children playroom, however viewers were left worried about their safety following the discovery of the 'creepy' room.

Posting the video where they made the discovery, Aurora's husband can be seen pushing a wall section to revealed a metal door.

Initially believing it to be used for a 'gun safe' or even as a 'bunk shelter' or 'panic  room', the parents were stunned to find the small and empty room.

The bare space was dotted with numerous stains on the floor as well as dirty mats, a light switch and miscellaneous electrical wires. 

'Oh my god what the f**k. We have never seen this in our house and we have lived here for four years,' Aurora said upon finding the new room.

'I can believe they didn't even tell us and there is a drain. 

Looking around at the space, she added: 'What the hell is all this stuff should we bring in a cadavar dog.'

Hoping the marks on the floor were only ruse, the couple had a quick scan of the room to see if there was another passage.

However all they found were dirty mats and a 90s themed small chicken toy. 

As they discussed possibly making the space a room for one of their children, the man quipped: 'Maybe we could make it one of the kids rooms though.'

Although the parents were excited to find the supposedly 'secret' room in their home, many users were quick to jump to conclusions dubbing it 'creepy'.

'Ma’am, that screams murder room. You can only open the door from the outside,' one quipped.

'What the hell is all this stuff should we bring in a cadavar dog,' a second penned. 

'That’s so crazy!!! Are you sure there’s not another secret door in there?!? Maybe you guys have a secret labyrinth running through the house,' another said.

'Okay … but why was there a toy in that room ….,' another queried.

'It can’t be a panic room if you can’t lock it from the inside… that’s something sinister,' one follower assumed. 

However not everyone was convinced  the parents weren't aware of the whole room sitting in their home, with one stating: 'So there's no tracks on the floor or the ceiling where the wall slides? How could you not know?'
