Ian Wright's attempts to keep warm during ITV's FA Cup coverage on Sunday led many fans to poke fun at the Arsenal great.

Wright was part of the punditry team as Eastleigh hosted Reading in the second round of the competition.

And the focus of viewers quickly switched from the game to his huge winter jacket.

Wright was wearing a Moncler and Adidas hybrid costing in the region of £2,000 and it was certainly eye-catching.

Fans soon took to social media to comment on his attire, making fun of the size and design of the coat.

Ian Wright's massive winter jacket caused a stir on social media during Sunday's coverage

'I recently rented a bouncy castle and when it turned up Ian Wright was in it,' quipped one on Twitter.

Another joked: 'did Ian Wright buy his jacket from the Zorb ball warehouse?'

Others seemed to genuinely appreciate the outfit with one writing 'absolute respect to Ian Wright's coat' while another labelled it a 'thing of beauty'.

However, the wisecracks kept coming with the jacket also compared to a plane's inflatable evacuation slide and the bubble wrap get up once worn by the TV character Alan Partridge.

When the attention turned back to the football Paul McCallum's last-gasp winner saw non-league Eastleigh dump out League One strugglers Reading.

The game also saw Reading fans stag yet another protest against their owner Dai Yongge.
