Emma Hayes has yet to decide if she will travel to the United States for December's international break with the USWNT scheduled to play two games against China.
Earlier this week, US Soccer sporting director Matt Crocker said he hopes Hayes would be present then to meet players and staff. However, the incoming USWNT coach made it clear on Wednesday that her priorities lie with Chelsea until she leaves.
'I haven't decided yet,' Hayes said about travelling to the US. 'I am certainly focusing on the next couple of games and if not, I will try and take a Zoom call where possible.'
Hayes was announced as the head coach for the USWNT earlier this month. With her duties not beginning until the the Women's Super League season concludes, Hayes wants to give her undivided attention to her present job.
'No, there is no split,' Hayes said. 'My time is here with Chelsea.'
