Britain's TV channels are full of design experts constantly passing their judgement on other people's homes.

But until now they have rarely come under the microscope themselves.

However, the tables have been turned with MailOnline piecing together the best pictures from the homes of the biggest TV stars.

From Sarah Beeny's 15th-century chair that she 'loves' and Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts's framed picture of football hardman Vinnie Jones.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's loud wallpaper also features throughout his home, while Location, Location, Location host Phil Spencer showed off his countryside retreat.

It comes after eyebrows were raised this week when Grand Designs host Kevin McCloud revealed his love of Ikea kitchens after installing one himself at his property - despite vowing never to show off his house to viewers.

Here MailOnline looks at the homes of famous f TV design experts and lets you judge them.

Phil Spencer: Location, Location, Location

Location, Location, Location host Phil Spencer usually keeps his home out of the public eye.

But he put up a few pictures of the inside of his idyllic £3.3m Hampshire home on his Instagram.

The Love it or List It presenter lives with his wife Fiona and their two sons Ben and Jake in Froyle, East Hampshire.

In 2015 they relocated from their £3.6m family home in south west London for the more spacious and relaxed countryside base.

The home came with ten acres, a tennis court, gym, cinema and games room.

It has 9,000 sq feet of living space, an imposing double-height living room, luxurious kitchen and six bedrooms – all with en suites.

Spencer, who has been a Channel 4 regular with co-host Kirstie Allsopp since 2000, showcased his bedroom on social media which showed it was decorated with a cool grey and blue colour palette with wooden furniture.

He also promoted his new bed, writing on Instagram: 'Having just bought new beds for all family from the excellent team @buttonandsprung I reckon I've enjoyed the best weeks sleep I've ever ever had. What a difference a decent bed and 8 hours of sleep can make to a day.'

Alongside the bed, the rest of the room is designed stylishly with cream carpets and an off-white paneled wall.

The bed's cushions also match the artwork hanging above the bed alongside rattan hanging lights.

The family's spacious garden has also been on show, including what appears to be a vegetable patch.

In 2015 the 'born and bred' countryside man said the extra space and greenery was a big reason he moved from London.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen: Changing Rooms

English interior designer and television personality Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is best known for his iconic design role in the original series of BBC's Changing Rooms - and is penchant for eye-catching attire.

The makeover show was a hit in the 90s and recently returned after 16 years in August 2021 on Channel 4 for a reboot.

His style is known to be opulent with a preference for maximalism.

He lives in the Cotswolds with his wife Jackie, their two daughters and their partners, and his two young grandchildren.

Over the years he has given fans a glimpse of his period property on his Instagram page.

In October 2022 he spoke to the website HouseBeautiful about his home, he said: 'Our kitchen had a very orange incarnation for a while, very Berocca – but the white ceramics looked exquisite against the orange.'

He said: 'One of the absolute key elements of maximalism is to separate the things that surround you from perception of where they come from and how much they're worth. Really drill down on the story they have to tell.'

Despite being known for his luxurious taste, he claimed both eBay and Etsy are both 'absolutely extraordinary' when shopping for homewares.

He said it was quite a British thing to 'show off your bargains'.

However Laurence slammed flat packed furniture saying he 'never understood' how people spend money on something that will become landfill within three months.

He said that money would be better spent on lovingly-made antiques by a Victorian or Edwardian craftsman which you could love, look after, and then pass on.

The TV personality said his treasured possession at home was a little marbleised paper sculpture which his grandson, Albie, bought him when he was about three.

Sarah Beeney: Property Ladder

Sarah Beeny is best known for presenting Property Ladder (2001 -2009) but has presented over half a dozen shows about property.

Back in 2020, Sarah and her husband Graham decided to up sticks from their London home with their four sons and move to a former 220 acre farm near Bruton in Somerset which they have renovated on-screen.

The journey of them renovating their new home was captured in Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country on Channel 4.

Although the farm had permission to build a new house, the couple had grander plans as they wanted to build a mini stately home with five properties in a different field where planning permission had been granted.

Despite beef from neighbours, they were eventually granted the planning permission, while Sarah caused further controversies when she decided to keep a wild rabbit as a pet after her cat captured the animal.

The lavish home showed their love of the finer things in life, including stunning antique furniture such as writing desks and wardrobes.

Beeny said at the time: 'We have lots of really old pieces including a 15th-century chair that I love. I enjoy collecting cartoons; they’re lovely things and make me laugh.'

In-keeping with the classic stylings, the couple's open plan kitchen and living area featured envy-inducing parquet flooring.

One of the drawing rooms in the house boasts dark red wallpaper. Sarah previously said: 'I’ve had loads of decorating disasters! But that’s how you learn...

'I discovered years ago that you can paint a room dark red, but it’s the other colours in there that’s the difference between a room that looks like a womb, or a luscious rich and exotically decadent living space.'

On the flip side to their super classic styling, they have worked hard to keep themselves with the ages with their solar energy scheme.

Given Graham's career as an artist, the walls in the home are carefully curated with stunning pieces, including his own work and that of other artists.

He has also written two books on the subject, Teach Yourself Making Money from Property and The Property Auction Guide.

Fans were given the biggest glimpse into his home in 2019 when it featured on the updated comic version of the classic panel game Through The Keyhole, in which a panel must guess a home's owner.

The acclaimed TV presenter's home office even included a picture of hardman footballer Vinnie Jones

In a February 2022 interview with HouseBeautiful he said he buys a lot of his homeware from charity shops.

He revealed there is a place in Wales where he bought literally every single piece of his furniture.

But he said his love of reusing and car boots has become a problem for his wife due to his inability to throw old stuff away.

He said his collecting habits mean his house has become a 'bit of a living diary filled with where I have been'.

A lot of the items don't have 'real value' he said, but they have personal value to him.

One of his most treasured possessions is a piano his parents bought him for his 40th birthday when his mum was still alive.

He is also a huge fan of shopping in places like like B&M, The Range and Trago Mills - calling them 'truly fantastic stuff'.

The acclaimed TV presenter also claimed the home he would most like to snoop around would be Buckingham Palace.
