It's been a difficult few years for the Knicks, who haven't won the championship since 1973

After Ja Rule's performance was panned by critics, he wrote on X at the time, 'You just jinx yourself talking to the GOD this way… your CURSED NOW!!! You won't win a championship for the next 30 years.'

The chart-topper's longtime nemesis, 50 Cent, later said he was attempting to lift the Timberwolves' curse in an Instagram video.

'We had a curse! Somebody f**ked up, and they let Ja Rule perform at halftime,' he said of the team, who partnered with his Sire Spirits liquor brand last year.

'Now, what we're gonna do is take the curse off!'

In response, Ja Rule said he 'extended' the team's curse.
