Jack Grealish has been a star on and off the pitch for Manchester City, with the £100million England winger proving a hit in the club's new Netflix series.

Grealish's sense of humour takes centre stage as he explains his love of Bovril - a beefy drink - at Bristol City, and why the training ground is his go-to place to walk his cockapoo Skye.

City's new six-part documentary series charts their historic Treble-winning season and while there is plenty to unpack on the pitch, it is off it where viewers really get to see Grealish's personality.

One scene shows Grealish, his dog Skye, and model girlfriend Sasha Attwood taking a stroll around City's training ground.

The couple explain that due to living in a city centre apartment, in the Northern Quarter area, there is little green space for Skye to run about and so the training ground has become a home away from home for the cockapoo.

'I love my dog man, I love her more than anything in the world,' Grealish says.

'When you come back after a game, win, lose, whatever, the dogs are just happy to see you.'

Attwood surprised Grealish one birthday with Skye, then just a puppy, and the City star describes his cockapoo as the 'best present ever'.

But using City's plush training facility hasn't always been plain sailing for Grealish and Attwood.

'One time I brought her on the pitch and obviously we'd trained on it in the day,' Grealish explains, 'and she did the biggest s**t, like, just in the middle of the pitch.'

Grealish's cheeky personality makes him a key figure in the dressing room.

In episode four he takes it upon himself to educate some of his team-mates on the beefy drink, Bovril.

Despite reservations, Swiss defender Manuel Akanji is convinced by Grealish to give it a try.

'I don't really think Manu liked it, I just think he said "yeah" to get me away from him,' Grealish says, before adding that he offered it to everyone in the dressing room.

'They were unbelievable, I took about eight home with me!'

While he could not convince everyone in the dressing room to jump on board the Bovril train, it is clear to see how popular Grealish is with staff and team-mates.

Bernardo Silva jokes Grealish's hair is a '4/10' while Riyad Mahrez and Grealish have a routine of seeing who has the best close control in a competitive one v one after training.

Mahrez, who is no longer at the club, was renowned for his touch and so the pair routinely played a game where they would hit the ball off the side of the main building at the training ground and the loser is the one who cannot stop the ball hitting the ground.
