Jadon Sancho returned to Manchester United training this week after spending the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund following a public fall-out with Erik ten Hag.

United confirmed on their official website that he was back at Carrington for testing on Wednesday before joining in with the rest of the squad on the training pitch the following day.

Sancho and Ten Hag's relationship broke down last September after United's 3-1 defeat by Arsenal at the Emirates. Ten Hag left the winger out of his squad for that game, claiming his performances in training had not warranted a place in his team.

Sancho hit back on social media, accusing the Dutchman of making him a 'scapegoat'.

He refused to apologise for his remarks, leading to him being ostracised from the first team, with Ten Hag sending Sancho to training with the club's youth team.

Sancho returned to his former club Dortmund in January after spending four months on the sidelines, and impressed during their run to the Champions League final.

He delivered eye-catching displays in their semi-final triumph over PSG, but could not inspire them to victory against Real Madrid in the final at Wembley.

The 24-year-old has now returned to United, but faces an uncertain future at the club as Ten Hag is still in charge.
