It's been a season of drama and off the pitch struggles for Toffees manager Sean Dyche
Farhad Moshiri agreed a deal with 777 in September but the takeover is yet to be completed
'It’s been a tough season if you’re an Everton fan.' Said the former Liverpool defender.
'You’ve got the points deduction, thinking that you could be relegated, and as soon as you get out of that, you’re thinking? What’s going to happen now at the end of the season?
'With the ownership, you’ve got Moshiri, the group 777 who are propping the club up, keeping the club going, putting in £15-20milion in every month to pay the wages, and pay the costs for the stadium.
'Everton don’t want them to take ove the club, but you’re actually thinking, where would Everton be right now without them? They’ve put £200m in, they don’t even own the club.
'So if the PL don’t pass them, whoever does come in or whether Moshiri stays, they need paying back, or there’s other loans – I think in the next few weeks, once you get the football out of the way, you do fear for Everton, and what is going to happen, because it doesn’t look too rosy.
'I’ve called them the worst run club in the country, going on two or three years.
'I think the Premier League are in a really difficult position. It’s obvious it shouldn’t take eight months to pass new owners, so they obviously don't think they’re fit and proper owners for whatever reason, but they’re obviously thinking, if we tell this group 777, who’s actually going to be funding Everton right now?
'Something needs to happen and happen very quickly.'
777 have already had success with of their multi-club model with Genoa, Hertha Berlin and Red Star Paris and the aim was to include Everton into the fold.
