Jamie Carragher's 'drunk' interview with Jadon Sancho after he downed eight pints on Borussia Dortmund's famous 'Yellow Wall' left the CBS studio in hysterics.

The Liverpool legend turned pundit was sent to watch Dortmund's Champions League semi-final win over Paris Saint-Germain with the home fans.

Carragher said he had no trouble getting a beer pre-match as he hailed his new Dortmund 'family and friends'.

Viewers were then treated to a hilarious post-match chat between Carragher and Manchester United loanee Sancho, who enjoyed an impressive night.

Carragher, wearing a Dortmund scarf, conducted much of the interview with his arm around Sancho, leaving the CBS studio panel cracking up with laughter.

The interview left Thierry Henry (left) with his head in hands in the CBS studio, before presenter Kate Abdo (right) made a joke about Carragher touching Sancho

'He's got his arm around him!' Micah Richards was heard to shout.

Thierry Henry sat with his head in his hands, before anchor Kate Abdo made an amusing joke at Carragher's expense.

'99 touches from him [Sancho] in that game tonight. 31 touches from Jamie Carragher on Jadon Sancho in the interview that he did,' she said, leaving Richards in another fit of laughter.

Dortmund will take a 1-0 lead to Paris for next Tuesday's return leg thanks to Niclas Fullkrug's goal in the first half.

As Carragher lined up alongside Peter Schmeichel to conduct the post-match interviews, a concerned Abdo asked him: 'Are you sober enough to do this Jamie?'

He replied: 'You know that's actually a good point. I haven't had too much to eat. I had a cheeseburger around half two.

'That might explain why I might be slurring my words because I've had about eight pints in the Yellow Wall.

'I've got a new family, a family and friends. We all looked after each other.'

Carragher then spotted Sancho and invited him over for a chat, immediately putting his arm around the Englishman as he was handed a microphone.

'I've just been in the Yellow Wall, my first experience of it. Obviously you know it very well as you've been here before. That was one of the best experiences of my life - amazing,' Carragher said.

Sancho praises the Dortmund support before Carragher continues: 'The great thing about the Yellow Wall is the atmosphere, it's not the best view in the world but I thought you played well.

'But Thierry Henry, Alessandro Del Piero and Micah Richards are in the studio and they're absolutely raving about your performance.'

Sancho answers: ' I appreciate it but we still have to go to Paris and get the job done there.'

The coverage then cuts to the studio, where Henry is slumped on the desk with head in hands and Del Piero is swaying from side to side.

After Schmeichel asks about Sancho's England ambitions for Euro 2024, Carragher, with another hand on the shoulder, asks the winger about what Dortmund means to him.

Peter Schmeichel (left) said Carragher had been 'sent to the sin bin' before he reappeared

'That's a great question. I came here when I was 17 and they gave me the opportunity to play my professional football so I'm delighted with the staff and players who have welcomed me back,' he said.

Sancho then shuts down a question about his future with his United before Carragher continues waxing lyrical about the Yellow Wall.

But he warns Sancho he may need to drink eight pints before standing with the fans.

Schmeichel had clearly seen enough, sending his colleague to the 'sin bin' after Sancho had made his exit.
