Jamie Carragher has urged Casemiro to 'call it a day' and move to Saudi Arabia or the MLS after his poor display in the 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
Erik ten Hag's men suffered their heaviest loss of the season as their hopes of securing European football next season took a dent.
Casemiro, who played at centre back due to injuries, had an evening to forget and played a role in two of Palace's goals.
And Carragher did not hold back in his criticism of the Brazilian, claiming 'football has left him' and that he should drop down a few levels this summer.
The former defender said speaking on Sky Sports: 'I said at half-time he's (Ten Hag) got to bring Casemiro off.

— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) May 6, 2024'I know he's got kids on the bench but I think Casemiro deadly serious should not himself tonight as an experienced player that he should only have another three games left at the top level. The next two league games and the cup final.
'And the he should be thinking "I need to go to the MLS or Saudi". I'm deadly serious. He'd aging, the people around him they need to tell him this has to stop.
'We are watching one of the greats of the modern time playing in one of the best midfields we've seen who dominated Europe. Him holding, Kroos to one side modric to the other was one of the best midfields. Could easily go up against the Barcelona midfield we all loved (with) Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta.
'He's been an absolute great. I am nowhere near on a level of what that man has achieved. Champions Leagues, playing for Brazil, playing for Real Madrid.
'But I always remember something when i retired myself, there was a saying I always remember as a footballer, "leave the football before the football leaves you". The football has left him at this top level he needs to call it a day at this level of football and move'
Michael Olise (L) picked up and skipped past Casemiro with ease for his opening goal
Carragher went on to urge United to pay off Casemiro, who has two years remaining on his £350,000-a-week contract, in the hope of getting him off their books.
He added: 'He will have earned a right few quid, good luck to him. They pay him off and they do some sort of deal but the level of that player he should not be putting himself through this.
'He's too good of a player to put in a performance like that and be laughed at by Crystal Palace. He's not playing Manchester City, he's not playing Real Madrid, all due to Crystal Palace.
'A man of that level should not be going through what he's going through. He needs to call it a day'.
Michael Olise opened the scoring against Erik ten Hag's men after a superb solo run before finishing past Andre Onana inside 12 minutes.
Casemiro was pickpocketed by Daniel Munoz (L) who passed to Olise for the fourth goal

The Crystal Palace winger had picked up the ball midway through United's half and skipped past Casemiro, who fell to the ground after lunging in.
Crystal Palace doubled their lead five minutes before the break thanks to a thumping striker by Jean-Philippe Mateta before Tyrick Mitchell made it three just before the hour mark.
Casemiro's evening then went from bad to worse when he was pickpocketed by Daniel Munoz. The Colombian then played a pass to Olise, who slammed the ball home to put Palace four goals up on the night after 66 minutes.
