Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce's wife Kylie has opened up on the challenges his NFL schedule brings when planning Christmas celebrations.
Kylie revealed their unusual holiday planning strategies in an interview with PEOPLE after sharing their family Christmas cards which features their three daughters and two dogs.
'Every so often we luck out, and we get everyone at the same time,' she said about her typical plans for Christmas. 'Football kind of throws a wrench in things sometimes.'
Kylie admitted that the family have previously celebrated Christmas and Thanksgiving before or after the actual dates due to Jason's schedule.
'If Christmas falls in the middle of the week on a Wednesday or Thursday, Jason might have to go into work later, and so we might not be able to do dinner that day,' Kylie shared.

Jason is on his 12th year in the NFL and hinted at possibly retiring after this season in October
'It's a lot of planning, but we're super flexible about it. So we've had a couple of Christmases that were not actually on Christmas and the same with Thanksgiving.'
With brother-in-law Travis also in the NFL, the Kelce grandparents' holiday availability becomes another puzzle to solve. This year, Christmas Day will see both Jason and Travis with their respective teams playing in back-to-back home games.
'For the most part, we usually try to get as many people together as possible,' Kylie said. 'My parents will usually be there because they don't live far away.
'Jason's dad will usually be over because he's just around the corner as long as he's not in Kansas City. But Jason's parents usually try to split the holidays to make sure that one parent is with one brother and one parent is with the other.'
Despite their busy lives, Kylie and Jason remain adamant on spending time with their daughters Wyatt, four, Elliotte, two, and Bennett, eight months. However, Kylie admitted that the routine becomes increasingly challenging as their kids get older.
'Wyatt is 4 now, and she, I think, has a little more understanding of what's going on,' Kylie said.
'We would ultimately love to have Christmas on Christmas and Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving, but if it doesn't work out that way, I do think there will come a time when the context clues will tip her off that it is not happening on the day that it's supposed to happen. Right now, we're skating by pretty okay.'

On top of being a father and full-time athlete, Jason has one of the most popular sports podcasts and several music projects under his belt. With Jason now 36 years old and in his 12th year in the NFL, Kylie's wishes may be granted soon as the 2018 Super Bowl champion has hinted at retirement after this season.
'It is a lot and I think the way we justified it as a family is that this is gonna be over pretty soon here,' Jason told The NFL Report in October.
'If it's this year, which it very well could be, we wanna make sure that we're ready to go when football is done.'
