Jason Kelce has some strong opinions about deflating footballs - and believes that Tom Brady shouldn't have been punished in the saga known as 'DeflateGate'.

On the latest episode of his 'New Heights' podcast with brother Travis Kelce, the brothers were discussing the role of cheating or gaining an advantage in football.

Jason admitted 'there's an acceptable amount' of rule-bending that should be allowed before going on a profanity-laced rant about DeflateGate.

'I don't even think Tom [Brady] should have gotten in trouble for deflating footballs - I'm pro deflating footballs, I'll say it, I'll say it, I'm pro deflating footballs.

'Yeah he outsmarted people, why the f*** does it matter how much air is in that motherf***er?

Ex-Eagles center Jason Kelce thinks Tom Brady shouldn't have been punished for 'DeflateGate'

Brady was suspended for six games for his role in the scandal in the 2015 AFC Championship

'If you're throwing it and catching it who the f*** cares? We're all mad because he had the common sense to take a little air out so that his receivers could catch the f***in' thing, why is that against the rules?

'Y'all could have taken the air out too you guys could have taken the air out too. You just weren't smart enough so why am I getting penalized because you're f***in' dummies.

'It's a rule, it's a stupid rule though. If the rule isn't protecting player health or if only one team can do it I get what you're saying.

'But if both teams have the opportunity to do something and the other teams just not as smart as the other team then that's a stupid rule. You're taking away intelligence.

'"You're in trouble for stealing our signs" You were f***ing doing signals you expected us not to look? Get better signals what the f*** are you talking about?'

Brady allegedly deflated footballs in the 2015 AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts - a game the New England Patriots won handily. But Brady was found to have played some sort of role in deflating footballs below the required pressure for a game where the weather changed rapidly.

For his role, he was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season. Brady came back from that suspension and led the team to a championship in Super Bowl LI.
