Conservative sports commentator Jason Whitlock believes the near-assassination of former President Donald Trump was Joe Biden's 'Hail Mary' attempt to stay in the White House

Any deranged conspiracy theory of Biden or anyone in his administration being involved in Trumps' botched assassination last week has already been disproven.

Yet, Whitlock decided to post to social media to be relevant with the news of the day, President Biden's decision to not seek reelection after four years in the Oval Office.

Whitlock has tapped into his conservative fan base since leaving Fox Sports 1 in 2020.

However, his tasteless post about Biden on Sunday refers to another Presidential assassination, that of John F. Kennedy in November 1963.

Conservative sports commentator Jason Whitlock made a tasteless claim on social media

Claiming Biden was involved in the near-assassination of Trump has been debunked

'Ree Tardy Oswald’s missed shot cost Biden the presidency. The Hail Mary failed,' Whitlock said on X.

The comments under Whitlock's post are split between those who agreed with Whitlock's incorrect assertion, and those who are calling him out for being insensitive and rude.

The would-be shooter's bullet grazed Trump's ear, with many believing the Republican nominee for President is lucky to be alive.

The disgusting insult of 'Ree Tardy Oswald' refers to Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated John F. Kennedy in Dallas.

Biden's term as President will officially end in January with him not seeking reelection. He also endorsed his Vice President, Kamala Harris, to be at the top of the new Democratic ticket.

Trump wrapped up the Republican National Convention earlier this week, picking Ohio senator J.D. Vance as his running mate.
