Joe Gomez has opened up on who is 'the life of the party' in the England dressing room at Euros
The Liverpool defender is set to compete at his first international tournament at the age of 27
'Table tennis, I'd say on that occasion it was me, Ebz (Eberechi Eze), Ezri [Konsa] and B (Bukayo Saka). On that occasion it was probably between B and Ebz. Me and Ezri were just trying to give him some warmth, but B and Ebz were probably the best two players.
'Ez is just a joker, he's a top guy. He's the life of the party, I'd say, always making everyone laugh. He's always got such a good vibe about him, so when he's not great he can still do the talking, but what a guy.'
Gomez went onto discuss his rise to stardom with England, and how he has overcome injuries to reach the Euros.
He backed his side to come out on Serbia, but acknowledged that the task at hand won't be easy.
'Most are probably aware of the injuries and the difficulties that I've had in the past,' he added. 'I have longed to go to a major tournament, every boy dreams of doing it on a major occasion like this,
Gomez also previewed England's first game of the tournament, against Serbia on Sunday night
'It make it sweeter because I have missed out in the past. Getting a chance to be amongst the boys here is special for me.
'We are coming off a disappointing result at Wembley. We have to be at it and at 100 per cent intensity. We know it is going to be a tough game, Serbia are obviously a physical side, but we want to hit the ground running.'
