Bob Arum takes the mic
Eddie Hearn says that the result brings justice from the first fight.
Bob Arum then takes the microphone and slates the judges.
Catterall celebrates his win
It's all smiles for Catterall as he poses with his team, then Eddie Hearn, then his partner.
It was over two years ago in February 2022 that he suffered a controversial defeat at the hands of Taylor. He hasn't let it get away from him since, and tonight he rectified things.
He is all smiles, and rightly so.
'Bittersweet' victory
Catterall has his say, speaking to DAZN:
CATTERALL WINS!
CATTERALL WINS! REVENGE!
It's big on the scorecards. 117-111 on two, 116-113 on one.
Taylor shakes his head. That's pretty conclusive to me.
Round 12 - They both think they've won it...
The final round. The fighters touch gloves before it kicks off.
Taylor is more attacking. He has Catterall up against it but the Englishman clings on.
The final bell rings. Both men put their hands in the air, both men are lifted onto the shoulders of some form of coach.
Best of luck. I can't pick a winner.
Round 11 - Both men hit the deck
There are some tired-looking punches going in now.
The refere has another world mid-round. Catterall then goes on the attack, and both men fall to the ground. No knockdown.
Taylor thinks he's up. I'm not so sure.
Round 10 - Too close to call
The referee wants to speak to the fighters at the start of the round.
Catterall takes one on the chin and wobbles... but he's alright.
A good jab from Catterall puts his opponent on the defence. He then has to duck himself.
Both men land strong jabs. A body shot then looks to have hurt Catterall.
Taylor's round, that.
Round nine - Encouraging for the home favourite
Catterall is ahead but Taylor is coming into it.
Some encouragement for the home man as he sets the Scot on the back foot.
Both men are struggling to lands shots, but Taylor is basically fighting with one eye.
Surely we aren't heading for another controversial decision...
Round eight - Better from Taylor
Some really good combinations from Caterall.
Taylor is throwing hands but missing. I wonder if the eye is having more of an impact than I thought.
A decent body shot, though, His best couple of rounds, I reckon. A good left in the last few seconds.
Round seven - Both men going strong
The start of every round now brings excitement for what Catterall will do as it kicks off.
He's the man walking forward but is caught with a jab in the centre of the ring.
A really good left from Taylor, who isn't letting his bashed up eye impact him too much.
Round six - Taylor's eye closing
Jack Catterall has waited a long time for this fight and he is grabbing it with both hands.
He starts the sixth on the attack but Taylor comes back into it.
He is still struggling massively with the bulge on his head, which is having a big impact on his right eye.
Round five - Catterall on top
It's fast from Catterall again.
Jabs early, then a few combinations.
Taylor does OK but ends up on the ropes and is somewhat saved by the bell. Brilliant stuff from the Englishman so far.
Round four - Both men happy to take their time
Catterall goes on the attack again but Taylor is ready and lands a couple of hefty body shots.
Now Taylor shows patience. He doesn't want to let emotion come into it - he knows he can get the job done.
A bit of a quieter one.
Round three - Taylor is warned
My word, they've clashed heads again!
A brief pause and they're fine but Taylor looks to have come out worse off.
Neither man is taking their time now. Plenty of swinging, and the referee isn't happy with Taylor, who lands one on the back of the head.
Round two - A clash of heads
This is very good from the home favourite. He's looking to get his work done early.
Ouch... a clash of heads brings us to a pause.
Both men are fine, luckily.
Round one - Catterall starts well
Jack Catterall's rematch against Josh Taylor is underway and the Englishman has started well.
Catterall catches his opponent with a strong jab within seconds.
The winner of the first fight stands firm, however, staying patient, but Catterall takes the round, for my money!
