Jurgen Klopp may not be looking for a new club right now but the former Liverpool boss has announced he has become a member of a different kind of club.

Klopp returned to Anfield less a month after his emotional farewell, attending a Taylor Swift concert on Thursday evening.

The pop sensation took her her Eras Tour to Merseyside in the United Kingdom leg of the excursion and unsurprisingly Klopp and his wife Ulla were able to get their hands on some tickets at the ground where he was called boss for almost a decade.

Klopp announced he would be attending the gig in an Instagram story earlier in the day, saying he was not tailor-made but Taylor ready.

And the German took to social media to share some content from his night out.

Klopp shared picture of himself wearing a one of Swift's trademark pink cowboy hats, saying 'I guess I am officially a Swiftie'.

The 56-year-old also a selfie with the stage behind him, writing 'what a great night!'

Klopp waved goodbye to the Reds faithful in May when he took charge of his final game, a 2-0 win over Wolves, triggering emotional scenes from the fans in attendance.

After relaxing abroad with his wife Ulla as he gets used to life away from the Reds after nine years in charge, he is back in the place he once called him ready to enjoy some down time.

In an hour-long Q&A with staff at Liverpool last month, the German, according to The Athletic, revealed Ulla purchased tickets for the pair to watch Swift's Eras Tour at his former home stadium.

Klopp said he had a 'great night' as he returned to Anfield less than a month after his exit

According to the report, Klopp revealed the news after being asked what music he likes listening to when he gets a moment away from football.

After answering the question, he is said to have broken into song, covering Swift's 'Shake It Off' in front of the crowd.

Swift had been performing in Edinburgh before moving to Liverpool, with her first show in the city on Thursday.

After three shows at Anfield, running on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, she will head to Cardiff, then London, then Dublin, before performing in Amsterdam

Klopp joined Instagram last month in a move to stay connected with Liverpool fans after leaving and shared a tear-jerking farewell video following his final training session as his first post.

He admitted that he is not a 'social media guy' but after nine years at Anfield wanted to stay in touch with people on the platform.

The German has shared a number of snaps since, including photos of him lifting the Champions League with Liverpool in 2019, attending a Q&A in Liverpool and playing tennis.

Elsewhere, he has been enjoying time in Majorca and bought a villa on the Balearic island for £3.4million and plans to create 'an ecological family paradise' there.

On why he was drawn to Majorca, Klopp told the podcast Willipedia via Bild: 'I've dreamed of having a house in the south all my life. I like the weather, the climate, I like the people.

'There are lots of things I like here and also people I already know. It's not like I'm looking for new friends. I already have friends for life, and if some of them are here too, that's cool.'

He was also spotted at Wembley at the start of June as he watched another of his former sides, Borussia Dortmund, take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
