Jurgen Klopp has told doting Liverpool fans that joining the club in 2015 was the second-best decision he ever made.
The German has called time on his reign at Anfield after nine years in charge, during which he won a Champions League and Premier League among other accolades.
On Tuesday night he bade farewell to the fanbase in 'An Evening With Jurgen Klopp' at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
Hosted by celebrity Reds fan and comedian John Bishop, the exclusive event presented by the club in association with AEG set supporters back £37.
Klopp was snapped touching down in Liverpool airport with his wife Ulla on Monday ahead of the emotional event.

And it turns out that marrying his wife is the only decision he has made which tops signing up for the Liverpool job.
'Aside from marrying Ulla, joining Liverpool was the best decision of my life,' Klopp told the crowd.
Ulla is Klopp's second wife, having married the manager in 2005 after his first marriage with Sabine Klopp ended in 2001.
The former social worker met Klopp at Munich's Oktoberfest in 2005, where she was working as a waitress. They moved in together after knowing each other for just three days.
The couple have no children together, but both have sons from their respective first marriages.
They have been establishing a Mallorca paradise to enjoy after Klopp stepped down from leading Liverpool.
It is a £4.3million villa which has been described as an 'ecological family paradise' in Santa Ponsa.
Klopp, who said he was leaving Liverpool because he was 'running out of energy', purchased the Mallorca home in June 2022 for €4million (£3.4m) from Swiss businessman and artist Rolf Knie and decided to completely rebuild the 5,000-square metre property.

His nearby neighbours will include another ex-Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, and his old Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
Construction on Klopp's new home - which features a swimming pool, a hanging chair and a stripy hammock in the garden - appears to be near completion.
His farewell event started with a rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone performed by classical singer Alfie Boe.
Klopp received rapturous applause from his admirers as he emerged on the stage.
There was also a performance from The Lightning Seeds and thank-you messages from Daniel Craig, Trevor Noah, Paddy Pimblett, and Will Arnett.
