Kai Trump beams as her father Donald Trump Jr. sings her praises at glitzy Bitcoin convention rooftop party in Nashville - just days after he raised eyebrows with racy comment about his teenage daughter

Donald Trump Jr. praised daughter Kai Trump as she attended her first Bitcoin convention with mother Vanessa Trump at rooftop party in Nashville. 

The 17-year-old who stole the show at the Republican National Convention was watching her father speak to guests as he told her story of her wanting to speak about her grandfather Donald Trump.

His praise was met with applause as Kai's mother grabbed her daughter's hand and raised it in the air in celebration.

Donald Trump Jr. gave up some of his microphone time at the RNC to allow his daughter to take over, explaining she had asked to address the convention in the wake of the assassination attempt on her grandfather.

Kai won over the hearts of MAGA supporters as she delivered what may have been the most emotional remarks of the evening – being the first of the former president’s grandkids to weigh in on the attempted assassination that could have ended his life.

Her speech made her an overnight success and Google searches for the term ‘Kai Trump’ skyrocketed at 10:00 pm on Wednesday, moments after she spoke on night three of the RNC. 

‘A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing,’ she told thousands of cheering GOP delegates. ‘Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you.’

Kai’s father beamed with pride as she gushed about the side of President Trump that ‘people don’t often see.’

However, Donald Trump Jr. caused an uproar after calling his teenage daughter Kai 'sexy' in a social media post.

The former First Son made the comments while he and Kai were getting ready for the Republican National Convention earlier this week.

In a clip posted on his TikTok page, Don Jr. can be seen in a makeup chair next to his daughter.

'Kai what do you think?' He asks while panning the camera to show her giving a wave. 'Getting makeup make me look sexy like you?'

Kai flashes a small smile and replies: 'I think you look very beautiful.'

'Thank you Kai, I'm glad you think I look very beautiful' Don Jr. responds, before breaking into a huge grin.

'I don't do this very often, but in HD you better do it,' he adds as a makeup artist continues finishing up his look.

'I'm just excited for Kai's first speech where she chose a very large venue to get out there. She's going to crush it - I love you Kai.'

His daughter responds that she loves him too as a makeup artist applies her lipstick.

But the clip, which has since been viewed millions of times, has prompted backlash.

'So actually we don’t wanna be calling our daughters sexy hope this helps,' one person wrote.

'That sounds kind of suspicious,' another added.

'I’m a trump supporter, but dang I had to replay this several times to convince myself this doesn’t sound wrong, and I’m still not convinced,' one person said.

The responses also drew comparisons between Donald Trump's comments about his daughter Ivanka.

He famously once said that perhaps he would be dating Ivanka if they weren't related, during a 2006 appearance on The View.

He has also previously called his daughter 'voluptuous' and praised her body.
