Kaleb Cooper has revealed his plan for life after Clarkson's Farm and the moment he thinks he will have 'made it' - as the crew prepare to celebrate the launch of series three of the Amazon Prime Video hit show.

Despite his newly-found fame, the 25-year-old said he still sees his future in farming - but has questioned whether there is a future in farming for him.

The new series features a bet between Kaleb and Jeremy Clarkson of who can make the most money on Diddly Squat Farm.

The crew face challenges as crops fail due to severely hot weather and inflation drives up prices of supplies on the farm.

Kaleb told the Telegraph: 'I think I'll feel like I made it when I've bought a farm.

'At that point, I can actually relax a little bit and spend a little bit more time with family.'

He explained, however, that 'everything is through the roof at the moment' and he is doing everything he can not to move away from the place he 'loves the most'.

Kaleb said it was 'frustrating' to be priced out of his hometown, adding: 'That's why I'm so busy doing everything possible to get to that dream [of buying a farm]... I'm going to do it one day.'

The 25-year-old added that he gets his drive to succeed through being told by everyone that 'you can't do this or you can't do that'.

He vowed that owning his own farm was one way he wanted to prove everyone wrong.

At the launch to celebrate the new series this week, Kaleb gave Jeremy, 64, a rare bit of praise as he revealed he is a 'really good pig farmer'.

Kaleb said of Jeremy's latest arrivals: 'With the pigs I thought "here we go, here is another thing I will have to babysit but actually, it is the one thing I can leave you to do. He is actually a really good pig farmer.'

The presenter was left in tears after his beloved piglets 'died in alarming numbers', with the heartbreaking scenes set to air on the show.

Kaleb added: 'What the competition [between him and Jeremy] highlights is how much money you have to put in as a farmer, to actually then produce food for people on their tables.'

Jeremy revealed some of the rising costs associated with running Diddly Squat Farm as he said: 'Ordinarily we’d probably spend around £40,000 in seed, fertiliser, slug pellets, diesel etc and all of the various things you need in order to grow food.

'Well last year it was £108,000 we had to spend.'

Part 1 (episodes 1-4) will launch May 3, followed by Part 2 (episodes 5-8) launching on May 10 on Amazon Prime Video
